High Line NYC

The High Line runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to 34th Street. This park-like oasis downtown Manhatten offers great views on the Hudson River and the streets of Chelsea and Meatpacking. Just go there, hang out, have a piknic, enjoy the architecture and the hustle and bustle!

Scuol

Was hiking in the "Unterengadin", around Scuol and a little bit on the trail of Carigiet's Flurina. Beautiful autumnal light was laying on the Engadin houses with the typical "Sgrafittos".

White Mykonos

Mykonos is like a synonym for recreational vacations: the whitewashed houses with the deep blue sea in the background are pleasing to the eye. A strong wind keeps you cool, even in the hardest heat - so just relax, enjoy a drink and forget the time...

Julie Morstad

Julie Morstad is a Vancouver artist. I like her delicate and fragile style - sometimes dreamlike, sometimes macabre or both together.

Always a worthwhile trip: "Kew Gardens" is a spectacular parkway and botanical garden in London where you easily spend all day by strolling, having a picnic or reading a good book.

Of glitter and deers

Even more beautiful than in any picture-book: so much snow - untouched and glittering in the sun, here and there animal tracks, icicles of every size, deers on the way through the woods and only a gentle rumbling of falling rocks.

Anise Cookies

My aunt Beatrice is known for her culinary skills and last time I saw her, she offered these anise cookies. I liked the sujets so much, that I wanted to keep them. But at the end, I took pictures of each single cookie and ate them all...

Gregory Crewdson

Crewdson's photographies remind me of Edward Hopper's paintings. It's hard to explain, what gets you curious about these film stills alike pictures. But there is an intensity making you think of the story behind the arranged sceneries.

Bill around the corner

In your home town, you often walk through the streets without noticing the buildings, fountains and all the hidden corners.
The retrospective "Max Bill 100" at the Haus Konstruktiv gives an opportunity to improve your awareness for several sculptures in the heart of Zurich. After a short walk from the Bahnhofstrasse, passing "Pavillon" and "Halbkugel", you get to the museum and enter the world of Bill, from Bauhaus as far as "Kontinuität".

3 Nüsse für Aschenbrödel

I am a little bit late this year, but today I spent the afternoon on the couch, watching "3 Wishes for Cinderella" for the umpteenth time. A pure, beautiful and smart cinderella finds her prince in the Czech snowy woods, accompanied by the legendary sound.
It inspires me memories of my childhood, when my parents were preparing Christmas Eve, while my siblings and I passed the afternoon with this and "Little Lord Fauntleroy" movie.
